“We will shortly be announcing a series of shows that mix high quality live streaming with limited audience numbers in an outdoor setting. The band are planning on developing this as a model for their shows going forward. I know I’ve certainly missed tickets…and they somehow made the whole thing more tangible to the attendees.” So we used a brilliant audio and visual tech team led by Jon Theobald, but with a hint of the old school with a physical ticket. It felt like such a special evening.”Īttendees could access the live stream via a URL, which was printed on a physical ticket that was shipped along with a signed art print of the event poster. Although it was strange performing to a completely empty room, we stayed connected with the audience who were watching at home throughout. Hutchinson comments: “It was a phenomenal experience to be back on stage with Laz and Felipe after such a long time. The show was completed by an additional two song set featuring ‘Boom’ and ‘Sleep, Awake, Obey!’, which will be screened at a later date. This was followed by a ‘greatest hits’ set, including ‘Deal With The Devil’, ‘Hip Slickin’ and ‘I Will Follow You’, which was dedicated to Hutchinson’s father.

The band ripped through a 2 hour set that included the new album played in its entirety, featuring a ferocious version of Sabbath’s ‘War Pigs’, plus the single ‘Justified’, which was last year selected in Classic Rock’s Tracks of The Year. It was the first time the band had played together since their Who Feeds The Wolf? UK tour was prematurely ended due to lockdown in March. The event, which was behind closed doors and with no audience due to restrictions on live events, was streamed live in high definition audio and video on Facebook and YouTube.
